Dow House Historic Site
Built from 1872 – 1874 by Simon E. Dow, this 13
room country home was purchased by the Crawford
County Conservation Board in 1970. With the help of
the Crawford County Historical Society and the City of
Dow City, this house was totally restored and
opened to the public in 1974. Located on 4 acres in
the town of Dow City, it is open for tours from the
Friday prior to Memorial Day through September. It is
listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
